This movie is no longer available on VHS. I don't know that it was ever available on DVD. If you can find it through your public library, check it out. It received a well-deserved Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Film. It's the story of a young teen from Lapland who sees his family murdered by invading "Tschudas" and then saves the rest of his people. Shot in Lapland in the Lap language, the film is notable for its stunning scenery, compelling story line, and wonderful performances. This is a great family film for older grade schoolers and parents to watch together.
